Royal Troon, founded in 1878, is located in Ayrshire on the West Coast of Scotland. The course has hosted the Open Championship on 8 occasions and boasts winners such as Arnold Palmer (1962), Tom Weiskopf (1973), Tom Watson (1982), Mark Calcavecchia (1989), Justin Leonard (1997) and most recently Todd Hamilton in 2004.
This painting depicts the last hole which has witnessed many dramatic moments like the play off in the 1989 Open when Calcavecchia beat Wayne Grady and Greg Norman.
