A rare opportunity to own a very well known original oil painting of Prestwick Golf Club on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland painted by Gordon White.  Prestwick is the ‘Home of the Open Championship’.  Founded in 1851, Prestwick hosted the world’s most famous golfing challenge for the first time in 1860.  This famous course went on to host a totla of 24 Open Championships, the last of them being in 1925.

Prints of this painting have been in circulation for 20 years and adorn the walls of 100’s of homes, offices and clubhouses around the world.  In addition, the original painting is also well-travelled, having been exhibited in Las Vegas, Singapore and at the Open Championships at St Andrews and Turnberry.

The painting has also been reproduced extensively on other products such as table mats, coasters, and mouse mats.

Whist the image is very well known, there is only one original and it is now offered for sale by the artist.  An imposing and engaging image, it is the ideal centrepiece to for any room and has proven to attract attention form golfers and non-golfers alike.
